St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church

St. Mary Magdalene has a total of 16 societies which helps the foster and growth of catholic values and living, with four prayer groups which contribute to a greater spirit of healing within the community.

We have a Seniors group who socialise on a weekly basis and a Caring Network which aims to help them and many other elderly in their plight for help and support in their old age. The St. Vincent De Paul Society also helps alleviate the problems the poor and elderly face each day by handing out food parcels and caring for those in need.

The Choir uplifts the mass and the extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion bring the Eucharistic celebration to fulfillment. The liturgical dancers glorify our praises in dance and the altar servers assist in creating a holy ambiance at the Lords altar.

The Church also has the sacristans who sees to the sanctuary and holy objects, a Justice & Peace group, the Legion of Mary, Cleaners and the Exploring Scripture together group.

These groups assist us in bringing God closer to ourselves and to cultivate the values of Christ in our home and families, in so, making better Christians in word and in deed.

If you would like to join one of our parish societies, please call the church or speak to Father Rohan who will assist you in that regard.
