Father Rohan SmutsFather Smuts assumed responsibility as Parish Priest of St. Mary Magdalene’s on 24 January 2004. His previous appointments include the parishes of Stellenbosch, Koelenhof, Atlantis, Malmesbury, Kuils River and Khayelitsha (Site B). Father Rohan entered the seminary on 2 February 1992 and was ordained to the priesthood on 26 November 1999. Other ministries also include Catholic Engaged Encounter Deacon Basil SampsonReverend Sampson, as the parish deacon also acts as the parochial coordinator of Catechism. The deacon is married to Sandra and they have four children and has served this parish community in this capacity since 2000. |
